Be a Part of the Action!
All members are welcome to be a part of the Guild at one of 3 levels.
Steering committee member: This group meets every month in Eugene to make decisions and work out details regarding the Guild's activities. Everyone is welcome to come to this meeting to listen or to bring ideas. The people who are steering committee members have made a commitment to come to these meetings and to make major decisions about the course of the Guild. Anyone who wishes to be a part of the steering committee is welcome. If you would like to join at this level, we request that you commit to coming and contributing to the monthly meeting on a regular basis.
Committee member: This is a level for those who wish to work on specific projects for the Guild but do not want to come to all the steering committee meetings. This would include bringing a specific speaker to town, creating a brochure, obtaining financial support from local businesses for a Guild event etc. - the possibilities are endless.
Social member: This level is for those interested in being part of the Guild, but would rarely, if ever, go to a meeting or plan events. These members attend social gatherings and are listed on the website but may have no time or desire for further involvement.
Steering Committee Meetings
These meetings convene every month on the second Tuesday at 7:00 pm. These meetings concern the functioning of the Guild but include very little socializing or personal sharing- we have many social and healing events that are great for that. Check out our events page for times and locations of those events.
Anyone is welcome to come to the Steering Committee meetings but not required in any way to attend. We email out the minutes from these meetings to all members so you can keep up to date without having to attend. For location and directions contact Valerie Keartes, the steering committee chairperson at info(at)hwbguild.com or call her 914-0431.
